Holy Week Reflection and Compline

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St John the Baptist, Lowick
Address
Lowick Berwick upon Tweed, TD15 2UD, United Kingdom

During our journey through Holy Week 2024, we will be guided by Canon Susanna Gunner to seek the company of some of those who were around during the last days of Jesus' life nearly two thousand years ago. As Susanna looks deep into their stories, pondering what they might teach us both about ourselves and about God, she will draw upon symbol, art and poetry to help us look at familiar biblical passages afresh.

Each evening will finish with a short service of compline.

The Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Etal

A very warm welcome to the picturesque village of  Etal in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland Borders. We hope you will find the peace and presence of God in this Chapel which has been prayed in for over 150 years.

Worship at the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Etal, from Advent Sunday until Palm Sunday. From Palm Sunday to the beginning of Advent, we worship at St Michael and All Angels, Ford.

Safeguarding

The parish of Ford And Etal is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
