All over the world people will turn the lights off for an hour at 8.30pm local time to show symbolic support for the plant and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.
Amidst our increasingly divided and polarized societies, the Biggest Hour for Earth becomes a precious moment of unity, reminding the world that our one shared home needs our help and that we all can play a part in protecting it.
There will be a shared supper by candlelight at St Aidan's on March 22nd starting at 7.30pm with the lights on. with a short film about what we can do to make a difference.
Numbers are unfortunately limited, please let your churchwardens know if you plan to come.

St Hilda’s, Lucker

St Hilda’s is open each day for all to offer prayers, and to visit this historic Church and churchyard.

St Hilda's has layers of history, and is a beautiful church in the heart of North Northumberland.  We welcome visitors to our church throughout the year, and are always happy to see new faces in our congregation. We are celebrating Holy Communion on Sundays at 11am except on the fifth Sunday of the month, when we have a shared Benefice service;  please see the service tab for more information.

Zoom Evening Prayer takes place every Wednesday at 7pm; email the Vicar, Louise, via the Contact page for more information, and follow our Benefice on Facebook (Bamburgh, Belford & Lucker), or St Hilda's Facebook page to see what else is happening.    For baptism, wedding and funeral enquiries please get in touch.,

The parish of Lucker: St Hilda is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. (see the Safeguarding page on this website). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
