Authorised Lay Ministry is not as formal as it sounds.
Training is offered to people undertaking a variety of
roles, which gives improved skills and a better
understanding of why we do what we do. Nicola
Denyer, the Diocesan Adviser for Lay Ministry is coming
to the Deanery on Thursday 25th January at 6.30pm to
run a taster session for anyone who is interested in
improving their skills in pastoral ministry or lay worship
leading - which can include people who lead
intercessions. She will explain more about the way the
Diocese offers accreditation to people as Authorised
Lay Ministers, and how to create some bespoke training
in this Deanery. The venue is yet to be confirmed, but if
you are interested please put this in your diary.
