St Aidan's, Bamburgh

St Aidan’s is open each day for all to visit, to pray, to step back into history.

St Aidan's is a church with layers of history, reaching back to St Aidan who founded this church in the 7th Century.  We welcome visitors to our church throughout the year, and are always happy to see new faces in our congregation. We are celebrating Communion at 11am every Sunday, apart from occasional  fifth Sunday sof the month; please see the service details below for information.  We hold a midweek Communion service at 10am every Tuesday.

Zoom Evening Prayer takes place every Wednesday at 7pm;  email the Vicar, Louise, via the Contact page for more information, and follow our Benefice on Facebook (Bamburgh, Belford & Lucker), or the Friends of St Aidan's Facebook page to see what else is happening.   For baptism, wedding and funeral enquiries please get in touch.

The parish of Bamburgh, St Aidan's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. (see the Safeguarding page on this website). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
