St Lawrence's church is a collection point for donations to The People's Kitchen, an independant charity supporting homeless and disadvantaged people in Newcastle. Non perishable food items can be left at the back of church daily between 10am and 4pm or in the porch at anytime. We currently have an organ scholar in full-time education and actively engage with the schools in our area.Children are welcome to join our team of servers at our regular services of Holy Communion.Messy Church is a regular monthly event usually on the first Sunday at 4pm - an informal family time of spiritual reflection through story and craft activities alongside worship and refreshments. We also host after school events once every half term.
