St James’ is the Church of England Parish Church serving Shilbottle, Hazon, Hampeth and Newton-on-the-Moor. For nearly a thousand years, worship has been offered to God here, local people baptised, married and buried and followers of Jesus in every age have been strengthened by scripture and sacrament.
Our congregation today is as diverse in age and background as it has ever been. We are a welcoming and loving group of people – aware of our own shortcomings, wanting to reach out to others to share the good news of God’s love and ready to serve others in whatever ways we can.
