Advent Sunday (December 3rd) sees our annual Toy Service when we collect toys to be given to local children by the Salvation Army.Please bring new toys, unwrapped, so that the Salvation Army team can make sure the toys go to the right children.Toys can be brought to our 10am service on December 3rd or can be left in church at any time before then (we are open 10am to 3pm daily) or given to any member of St John's congregation.,Thank you.
Join us in the Druridge Bay Community Centre, Hadston on Saturday November 18th from 10am for our annual Christmas Fair.There will raffles, cakes, craft items, white elephant, tombola and more.All the children at Broomhill and Red Row first schools have been given a Christmas picture to colour, bring that along on Saturday for a free face painting.Father Christmas will be making a special appearance too.Come and brose, buy a coffee and a cake and stay to chat with friends.
We know it's still a little while before Christmas, but we want to share some exciting news with everyone.This year St John's Church is holding a Christmas Tree Festival from Friday December 15th to Sunday December 17th - church will be open between 10am and 4pm on the days of the Festival and our annual Carol Service will be at 4pm on Sunday December 17th.We are inviting local groups and businesses to decorate a tree and we already have several trees promised.
