Remember

In Flanders fields poppies grow,

Where many a hero now rests their heads;

never to see their homes again.

They left behind mothers, fathers, wives, brothers, sisters,

sons and daughters;

never to see their loved ones again.

If only we didn’t have to go to war, but to live in peace.

That is why we lie in Flanders fields,

where poppies grow, never to grow old.

Just to rest, in peace for eternity

To all our heroes who died so that we could be free
