St Cuthbert Parish Church

Welcome to St. Cuthbert's Parish Church Amble. 

The North East is a friendly and welcoming region, and you will find our congregation to be no exception. Amble is a small coastal town of about 6,500 inhabitants. It has a strong community feel and a background in fishing and mining. The deep mines are all gone, but a small fishing fleet remains and Amble is finding a new way forward as a centre for tourists on the north Northumberland coast. In the summer we welcome many visitors to the town and to our church. Amble is a good place to live, and our church aims to play an important part in the social and spiritual life of our community. 

At present we await a new full time parish priest. Services are taken by retired clergy, Lay Readers and a Church Army Sister.

A time of quiet reflection and meditation during Lent. In church. We listen to a piece of contemporary music, reflect on some verses from scripture and spend 15 minutes in silent meditation. All welcome
