Music and Worship

The organ was installed in 1981 replacing the existing organ installed some decades earlier. The organ is of local build, by Church & Co, Stamfordham, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The organ dedicated to C P Unwin. Archdeacon of Northumberland. The elegant case is built in cedar to match the décor and architectural features of the church, particularly the circular west window and barrel vault gold gilt roof. The principle chorus forms the basis of Manual 1 and provides a good base for congregational singing with the quieter flute chorus on manual 2 to accompt a choir.
