Churches Together Ash Wednesday evening service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St James
Address
St James, Church Lane Riding Mill Northumberland, NE44 6AT, United Kingdom

We come together as Churches in Healey, Minsteracres, Riding Mill and Slaley to reflect on the meaning of Lent and to sing.

St John

The beautiful church of St John, of the Parish of Healey, is open all day and every day for private prayer. Our visitor book tells us just how many people find that it is an ideal place to contemplate, restore, and commune with God. You are welcome here.

We have one formal service a month, at 5pm on the third Sunday. This may be Evening Prayer or Holy Communion: we use the words from the Church of England's Common Worship in modern language.

There are special services at Easter and Christmas - our Carol Service at 6pm on Christmas Eve is particularly beautiful, we think.
