We alternate between Holy Communion and Evening Prayer for this, our regular monthly service. Whenever we can, we shall sing a couple or more hymns - as we are able using our excellent new keyboard.

The Easter Eve Vigil (Holy Saturday) in the UK is the primary, oldest service of Easter, held after sunset to celebrate Christ's resurrection. Common in Church of England, Catholic, and other denominations, it features the "Service of Light" (lighting a new fire/Paschal candle), scripture readings, music, and, in Healey, renewal of baptismal vows within the context of a Holy Communion.
The service is informal and starts outside the main door where a fire is lit. We then proceed into the church for the remainder of the service, which lasts a bit over an hour.
