This is usually Holy Communion but once a month there is a Service of the Word.
In winter months the service is held at 2pm to allow time for social time afterwards while the days are short.

A liturgical service of prayer, scripture and hymns
On the first Sunday of each month at 4pm, we have a service aimed especially at
families with children.
It is called First @ Four and lasts about an hour. It is held in the church hall behind
St John’s Church on Meadowfield Road.
Each month we explore a story from the Bible through songs activities, crafts and
sometimes drama. We share food and have some fun. It is very informal and
everyone is welcome.
