Holy Communion Service with Hymns and Liturgy
A liturgical service of prayer, scripture and hymns
On the first Sunday of each month at 4pm, we have a service aimed especially at
families with children.
It is called First @ Four and lasts about an hour. It is held in the church hall behind
St John’s Church on Meadowfield Road.
Each month we explore a story from the Bible through songs activities, crafts and
sometimes drama. We share food and have some fun. It is very informal and
everyone is welcome.
This service is usually Holy Communion but once a month there is a service of the word in its stead.

Coming together for a benefice harvest holy communion.
Collections for West Northumberland Food Bank
A traditional service of music and liturgy in an ancient building with the church choir singing anthems, responses etc.
Thanksgiving for the harvest season.
Traditional Choral Evensong with the church choir.
