St Giles
The parish church of St Giles Birtley lies on the outskirts of the small village of Birtley. It is a simple church with no windows on one side of the building, and elements of ancient buildings incorporated into the present church. There is a small but welcoming congregation and a strong community spirit.

St Giles
St Giles is a small Northumbrian church in a beautiful part of the county. It has a peaceful, large churchyard, with places to sit and be quiet if you wish. Inside the church there are Roman pillars and an upturned Roman altar which in the past has been used as a font. There are information booklets for sale inside the church.
Visitors are warmly welcomed, duing the week or at our fortnightly services.
