Services for Holy Week & Easter at St. Paul's Choppington.

Maundy Thursday - 7-8pm begins with the celebration of the institution of Communion at the Last Supper and the example of Jesus washing the Disciples feet, giving us a New Commandment - 'That we should love one another as He has loved us'.
Then 8-9pm we have the 'Vigil of the Watch' as Jesus prays in the garden of Gethsemane and is betrayed. We watch with prayer and music.

Good Friday 12-2pm The First 2 hours - we watch and pray during the time of Jesus' crucifixion - with music, hymns and contemplation. Come and go in quite as you please.
The Last Hour 2-3pm we reflect on the crucifixion in Jesus' last hour - with the veneration of the cross & receive reserved sacrament from Maundy Thursday - ending with Jesus' words 'It is finished'.

On Holy Saturday 8-9pm. In darkness we welcome the New Paschal Candle into church as a sign of the Light of Christ coming back into our world - as we begin our celebration of Easter with the resurrection of Jesus.

All welcome.
