Parish Prayers

We pray as a parish for:
This Parish: For the Local Community
For the Wider Church: For all who worship in the Catholic Tradition
For the wider community of our parish: We pray for the residents of Russell Street and Bent Lane
For the Wider World: For the Local Council and newly elected councillors 
For those in need: For those in hospital, Nursing homes, and Hospices
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer and let our cry come unto thee. Amen

Prayer for Ascension Day

Grant, we pray, almighty God,
that as we believe your only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ
to have ascended into the heavens,
so we in heart and mind may also ascend
and with him continually dwell;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
