One of the world's oldest churches - the Eritrean Orthodox (Coptic) Church - used to hold their weekly Greater Manchester services in St Gabriel's Church, Prestwich, on most Saturday mornings.  They now worship elsewhere.   To contact the church, please send us a message through this website, and we shall pass it on.  Otherwise known as the Tewahdo Church, it is a member of the Council of Oriental Orthodox Churches in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland formally recognised by the Church of England in the Church of England (Ecumenical Relations) Measure.
