Christ Church, Ainsworth

'Celebrating, encouraging, proclaiming and supporting faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ our Lord.'

Christ Church is the parish church for Ainsworth village and the surrounding area, including Bradley Fold.

We are a friendly village church alive with the love of Jesus.  Jesus said, "... anyone who comes to me I will never drive away." (John 6:37) Jesus welcomes all who come to him, no matter who they are or what they have done. In this spirit, everyone who comes to Christ Church is assured of a warm welcome.

The parish of Ainsworth: Christ Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO.

If you have a concern and need to make contact about a safeguarding issue, please contact Peter Holden (below), our PSO on 01204 596938.

The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm and our PSO is unavailable, please contact the DSA on 0161-828-1451. If you need to make urgent contact outside of office hours contact 31:8 on 0303-003-1111. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
