Church is open every Friday morning, 10am - 12 noon, offering a warm welcome to anyone who pops in. Come and join us for a free brew and biscuit [and most weeks we offer toast, fruit bread and crumpets!]. There's always someone to talk to, or you are welcome to find a quiet space and just sit in peace. We also have a group of ladies who 'knit & natter' - you are welcome to bring along a knitting or crochet project and join them.
Refreshments are free but donations are welcome.

Welcome to 'The Early Doors Club'
A government-backed initiative led by The Snug Coffee House poised to transform the Friday night life across the Wigan Borough. With support from Wigan Council and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, this pioneering project aims to re-invigorate the night-time economy on Friday nights in four areas across the borough.
From the warm and inviting ambiance of The Snug Coffee House in Atherton to the historic grandeur of St Georges Church in Tyldesley, the creative haven of Hideout Wigan in Wigan, and the delightful charm of The Coffee Stop At Railway Road in Leigh, our carefully selected venues promise amazing events without any cost to you!
And that's not all!! Attendees will receive exclusive incentives to explore handpicked surrounding businesses after the event has concluded! By supporting these local, independent establishments, you will not only be able to save money on your night's out, but also contribute to the local economy

St George's hosts a series of Charity Brass Band Concerts organised by Tyldesley Masonic Lodge.
Concerts start at 7.30pm, doors open at 6.30pm. Entry £8, under 16s free entry. Raffle tickets on the night.

Refreshments provided by St George's Church in the interval; donations welcomed.

The communion service rotates on a 3 weekly pattern round the 3 churches in the Astley, Tyldesley, Mosley Common Team.

St George's will host the Team Communion on the dates listed above. All welcome and services will be followed by refreshments
