The Annual Parochial Meeting is the Church’s AGM where we think about the last year and look forward to the coming year. Before the meeting we all receive an APCM Pack which has all the information we need, most especially reports from different people and church organisation. This helps the meeting to be shorter in length! We have some technical and legal things we need to do, like elect or re-elect churchwardens, elect members to the PCC and representatives to the Salford and Leigh Deanery Synod. We also need to appoint an auditor for our church accounts, and adopt the Parish Safeguarding policy. So as you can see, it’s an important though not a very exciting meeting!

So, if you are interested in becoming a churchwarden, or a PCC member, or representing the parish at the Deanery Synod, then there are nomination forms which you can pick up in church. They will need completing before the meeting. We would like you to join us for your local APCM - this is why we hold them on Sundays after the service refreshments!
