St John’s is now one of the newest members of Inclusive Church - as a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. This was celebrated as part of the Scarecrow Festival. Ray, God's Beloved LGBT+ scarecrow, was on display outside the church to witness to God’s inclusive love of everyone in our community.
Our three Churches have regular opportunities for Baptism. The first step is to come and see us, come to church and see what we are about. Ask for a "five steps to baptism" leaflet and ask someone to sign it for you. Once you've seen us three times, we will fill out a Green form with you with your details. Once we have this, we will contact you to book a date which will probably be in a couple of months. One of our clergy will come and see you for a chat before the ceremony. We can talk about what baptism means and answer any questions you have about Christianity, God, Jesus or the service. See our leaflet for more details
