Our Building

Most windows contain stained glass. a booklet with details is available. East Window designed by Mary Lowndes.

Tuesdays 10am to 12 noon. and Thursdays 10am to 11am.

Grade II listed building. 16th Century Tower and window. Stained glass windows, including the East Window designed by Mary Lowndes and installed in 1914.

Church open Tuesdays for CONNECT 10.30am to 12.30pm. Warm Space and welcome with refreshments available.

ECO church bronze award. Recycling bins in churchyard. Small wildflower well-being space in churchyard with benches.


Music and Worship

Peel of six bells fully restored and rehung in 2015. For details of Tower Captain, practice nights and events please see the website.

Groups, Courses and Activities

Sunday School for over 5's at 11.00am every Sunday in term time in upper room.

Monthly coffee mornings 10am to 12 noon with book stall. See website for details and dates.

St Katharine's Flower Club. Meets monthly 2.00pm to 4pm with workshops and demonstrations.

Blackrod Stitch & Knit Group. Meets on Mondays 10am to 12 noon in upper room. All welcome.

Monthly Messy Church on last Saturday each month. Fun, games, stories, crafts and food, all free. Families welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Afternoon Matinee Film Club on first Wednesday of each month showing a film with refreshments. Doors Open 1pm, film starts at 1.30pm. Stair lift available to the upper room. See website for details of film to be shown.

Wiggle Worship for parents/carers and toddlers on Mondays from 9.30am in term time. Wiggle Worship is a happy and loving place for children and their grownups to come together for a natter and some fun. The sessions have a Christian focus and include free play, creative activities, singing and storytelling followed by refreshments.

Baby Rhyme Time for parents/carers and babies at 11am on Mondays in term-time. One hour of music and fun in the lower room. This is free, and intended for babies, birth to 18/24 months, and their parents/ carers. While held in the church this is not a Christian programme and is open to everyone. A typical session will include action rhymes, songs, a story, and music.
