Lectio Divina is a very old and traditional approach to reading the Bible and listening to God, and yet one which has proved helpful to Christians in every generation.
We will be learning about this in one service each month between now and the Autumn. To complement the teaching, we will be using Lectio Divina at the monthly prayer meetings. This may help us to move our prayers from simply ‘asking’ to ‘listening’ as well.
If this all sounds a bit ‘technical’, don’t worry because all will become plain! In each month’s service there will be a helpful instructional video, which will include helpful interviews with a diverse range of people.
It is hoped that everyone will benefit, and that our prayer (and listening) lives will be transformed as a result.
