In the days when autograph books were popular, I remember someone writing in mine,

“Make new friends but keep the old; one is Silver the other is Gold”

Well we have two friends of St Paul’s who are indeed Silver and Gold. 

 I refer to Janice and David Butterworth, who are the bedrock of our church family. 

After St John’s sadly closed, they joined St Paul’s; not being strangers as St John and St Paul’s were part of the same.

David having been warden of St John’s for more years than he cares to remember, 

fortunately came on board in tandem with Sue for a couple of years; with a knowledge of procedure second to none.
