The final part of phase 1 work to the Memorial Gardens has now been completed. The paths are complete and and the stone sets around the cenotaph are now finished. The benches are back in position. The planting of new trees and shrubs will be carried out in the autumn.

Phase 2 of the work will start later in May with the cenotaph being professionally cleaned before the lettering and sword are re-painted. Then in June the new stone plinths will arrive and be placed into position around the cenotaph before being engraved with the names of the fallen.
