St George (Heap Bridge)

St George's is a warm and welcoming church serving the community of Heap Bridge. We meet most Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for a service of Holy Communion. All are welcome whether you're just passing through, or lived in the village for many years or simply come to call St George's home.

On the first Sunday of each month we have a joint service at one of the three churches which work together in West Heywood. This service is at 10.30am

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Heywood: St Margaret and Heap Bridge: St George is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Mrs J Sydall [email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Abbey Clephane-Wilson, she can be contacted at [email protected] or at 0161 828 1465 / 07384 460958]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
