About Us
Our congregation is a welcoming community. The atmosphere is prayerful, supportive and rich in fellowship. We hope that visitors will find us friendly and welcoming.
The Church's sound system has been upgraded completely and is now the best in Oldham. We recommend that anyone with a hearing aid switches it to the ‘T’ position on entry to the church. Disability access was installed in early 2015.
During our worship, our vicar wears vestments of the appropriate liturgical colour. Lay participation is well established. For example, the intercessions, Bible readings, and Eucharistic lay ministers are each undertaken on a rota. Our two Lay Readers also preach regularly.
We serve tea, coffee and soft drinks in the Church Hall after the end of the service ... Fair Trade, of course
Children are very welcome: the congregation is very tolerant, and fully understands the problems faced by parents. We invite children to stay with their parents in all services, or to join the crèche at the back of Church or the Sunday school, which meets in the Church Hall. The choice is yours.
