About Us

St. Anne's Church stands at the top of the hill on Stockport Road in the village of Lydgate. The Parish comprises Lydgate, Grasscroft, Grotton, Springhead, and parts of Scouthead and Austerlands. We offer a warm welcome to all, whether regular worshipper or occasional visitor, young or old. Play bags and a crèche are available for pre-school children. Our services are based on the Common Worship liturgy; we also have a 4-part, robed choir and a Junior Singers group. 

Junior Church joins the congregation for part of the 11:00am service on some Sundays. On the first Sunday of each month we hold  Children's Eucharist which includes the uniformed organisations. We also have a Youth Group which meets during the 11:00am service on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month.

The Parish Hall, across the road from church, is used for many church-related and other activities and accommodates Junior Church and the Youth Group and is available for hire. 

The Social Committee arranges a variety of activities throughout the year.
