About Us
Our 1850 church provides a beautiful setting for important landmarks in life such as marriages and baptisms, as well as services for All Souls, Harvest, Christmas (e.g. Midnight Mass, Carol Service, Christingle) and Holy Week / Easter. At the end of life, it offers a dignified and peaceful atmosphere in which to say farewell to loved ones.
We try to be thought provoking, seeking and celebrating God’s Love in everyone, wherever they are in their belief. Our pastoral team offers spiritual and practical support to those in need, including home visits.
The church is signed up to ‘Inclusive Church’, "which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality…”
Recent Google Review! “A welcoming inclusive church, particularly friendly to young families, host to the cultural musical life of the town, of high historic status, beautifully embellished with stunning needlework, a beacon of spirituality and Christian outreach.”
Regular professional and semi-professional concerts - Pennine Singers, Saddleworth Music Festival and other classical concerts. The church has a toilet, and a kitchen area where tea, fresh ground coffee and "other refreshments" are often served!
Our charitable support includes regular contributions to Oldham Food Bank, Women’s Refuge and Booth Centre (homelessness) and other causes.
We have a superb Church Hall with licensed Bar and kitchen, which is the ideal venue to celebrate weddings and other family events.
