St John's Wednesday Welcome is open every Wednesday morning from 9.30am-12.30pm.
We are part of the National Place of Welcome Network.
Places of Welcome is a growing network of hospitality run by local community groups who want to make sure that everyone in their area has a place to go for a friendly face, a cup of tea and a conversation if and when they need it.
We provide free refreshments of tea, coffee, biscuits and toast, a friendly face, a listening ear and a range of activities and services.
We offer information about local activities and services that may be of help or interest and we are visited on a regular basis by Tameside's NHS Be Well Team offering health and wellbeing advice. We also provide a Listening Service and Bereavement Counselling.
You could take part in the craft activities, play Bingo, enjoy a therapeutic hand massage, manicure or join in the chair aerobics!
Come and see us - we would love to welcome you!
