About Us

St John the Evangelist, Hurst is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Manchester serving the community of Hurst in Ashton-under-Lyne.

We are a welcoming and inclusive church who meet together to worship God and who seek to show God's love and care to others in our local community and in the world through our words and actions.

We are a part of the Inclusive Church network and are registered as a Place of Welcome.

God's love is for everyone and all are welcome to join us for worship and to take part in our regular activities and various events.
