Once a month, on the 2nd Sunday, we take communion as part of our service. This is where we share bread and wine as a reminder of Jesus' sacrifice for us. This isn't compulsory and you are free to stay sitting during this time, or come to the front and receive prayer, if you do not wish, or are unable to take communion (children and those who have not been baptised). The Vicar/leader administering communion will explain everything before we start. Our children's groups (Little Faith/Crèche and Children's Church) will be on during this service, for children of pre-school and primary school age. Our Teenagers groups take place in the afternoon (Pathfinders) and on the Monday evening (Youth Group).

A warm welcome to all! We invite you to join us for our services, whether it be in our Church building or from the comfort of your sofa on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcYeO9qJ0JM91UW9fBflkjg). We look forward to being able to share in worship with you.

“ For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them”

We are a thriving church which endeavours to meet the needs of the varying groups within our congregation and the wider community by actively living the message of the Gospel.

“You are welcome at my house …. Let me supply whatever you need”.

We recognise the power and need for prayer in all that we do; it underpins each aspect of our church life whether that be within the church services, meetings, home groups or in the wider community.

Safeguarding

Here at St. Mary's Church, we aim to create safe environments, where children and young people are nurtured and protected; and where all people, especially those who may be vulnerable for any reason, are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.

We follow the national legal and procedural framework for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and Church of England policy and practice.

We act promptly on any complaints made and work in close partnership with police and social care services where children or vulnerable adults have been harmed or are at risk of harm or mistreatment.

We provide safe recruitment, training, and support to our volunteers and paid workers with children and vulnerable adults.

As a Church, we follow the Church of England 'Safe Church Policy'.
