About Us

We are a small but growing parish church serving the community of Haughton. Our mission is to enable pastoral support and to ensure the provision of the holy sacraments to a sub-urban residential area consisting of young families.

We are a worshipping community that meet together and pray regularly for the people of this parish and the wider world. We provide community facilities to hire and arrange community events. Our parish is served by our church and St Anne's primary school, the school building is owned by the church.

We also maintain a high church ethos within our worship so admired by our church founder and visionary Joseph Sidebotham, and follower of the Oxford movement. We proudly believe in fostering our traditional anglo-catholic faith, and endeavour to secure the beauty and foundations of our worship for the future of our parish. We receive pastoral support from The Society and Forward in Faith, as well as episcopal oversight from the Bishop of Beverly. In addition, we maintain full integration within the Diocese of Manchester. There are currently 21 affiliated parishes in the diocese and numbers are growing throughout the Church of England.

We are have recently enterred into interregnum as we await the appointment of a new parish priest. In the meantime we are blessed with pastoral provision from visiting priests ensuring regular communion and the arrangement of baptisms, weddings and funerals.
