About Us
St. Peter's is a significant gateway building in the West End of Ashton. It is situated across Manchester Road from Ashton Police Station and is one of the most noticeable buildings when approaching Ashton-under-Lyne from the West. St Peter’s is a very friendly, informal, flexible church where worship is modern, open and lively. The non-judgemental church congregation come together to worship God, to support each other and the local community. The congregation are there to serve the local community and feel that the church building and all that goes on in the church is aimed at being a visible presence in the West End of Ashton which is an area of great deprivation. The congregation are adaptable to new ideas and believe in having freedom to choose forms of worship and ways of working.
