St Mary in the Baum, is on St Mary's Gate, (NB the map location shown on the A Church near you web site is wrong. Our location is adjacent to the Baum Pub  - postcode: OL16 1DZ) and was founded in 1740 as a chapel of ease of St Chad's to minister to the people living north of the River Roch.  Today's church, designed by eminent church architect Sir Ninian Comper, was opened in 1911, described as "a place rich in Comperisms." Why not come and join this friendly community for worship in this beautiful place ? <div>
