For children 3 to 14 years. The Children's Gropus meet weekly in school term time. We join the congregation for the beginning and end of the Sunday morning service, leaving for our meeting in the Hall after the second hymn. We enjoy activities based on the Lectionary with DBS-checked and trained Childen's Leaders.
For the time being all the children and young people meet together in one group to ensure that we have enough Leaders on the rota.
New Families: parents and carers are encouraged to stay in church to share in adult worship after an initial period of ensuring that their children are well settled with the group and in the knowledge that they can be contacted at any time if necessary. The PCC is responsible for ensuring that adults volunteering for our Children's Ministry are registered with a DBS check and have undergone some training via Manchester Diocese.
We have no formal creche facilities but parents of babies and children under 3 are welcome to use the Foyer where some books and toys can be made available - please ask a Children's Leader.
We would love to hear any ideas parents and leaders have for any new activities. Speak to a Churchwarden or Children's Leader or send an email to [email protected]
See you soon!
