Pentecost Party in the Park

Occuring
for 2 hours
Venue
Milnrow Memorial Park
Address
Milnrow Memorial Park, 115 Newhey Rd, Newhey, Rochdale OL16 4JF, OL16 4JF, United Kingdom

To celebrate the Day of Pentecost, we will be joining other local churches and Christians for a Party in the Park.
We will have a short service, some lovely music and hopefully games for the children. Why not bring a picnic too, so we can enjoy the feast together!

Pentecost marks fifty days since Easter Day and brings the Easter season to an end and reminds us how God’s Holy Spirit was given to the disciples after Jesus’ ascension, empowering them to begin the work of making disciples of all nations.

Where: Milnrow Memorial Park
When: Sunday, 19 May 2024 at 11:30am

Contrary to our previous message, there is also no service at St James tomorrow (Sunday 19th May) . Apologies for any confusion from our previous message.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Newhey: St Thomas is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm or have any concerns or enquiries regarding safeguarding, please contact our PSO.

Parish Safeguarding Officer: Laura Smith

Email: [email protected]

Phone: 01706 594284 (c/o Reverend Janet Pitman)

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor is Abbey Clephane-Wilson, she can be contacted at [email protected] or at 0161 828 1465 / 07384 460958

Out of Hours Support
The Diocese of Manchester partners with thirtyone:eight and you can access their Safeguarding Helpline if the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser is unavailable. Thirtyone:eight can be contacted on 0303 003 1111.

This also includes any safeguarding queries outside of office hours on weekdays and weekends. An Information Sharing Agreement between the two organisations will allow the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser to receive a copy of the advice thirtyone:eight may offer the caller.

In the case of an emergency
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Service.
