About Us
The Parish of Hollinwood and Limeside was created in 2002 by uniting the former parishes of St Margaret, Hollinwood and St Chad, Limeside. We are a worshipping and caring community, sharing God's love with everyone. This is a vibrant parish with many activities for all age groups.
The present church building, which was consecrated in 1879, is an impressive Victorian structure which is Grade II listed. It stands on the site of a much older church building (1769) which explains why some of the tombstones in the grave yard predate the present building.
Our worship is centred on the Mass and our style is in the Anglican-Catholic tradition. The times of Mass are:
Sunday - 8.30am and 10.30am
Tuesday - 6.00pm
Wednesday - 6.00pm
Thursday - 10.00am
Friday - 12.00 midday
Saturday - 10.00am
We subscribe to the aims and objectives of Forward in Faith and The Society and we have passed the Resolution under the House of Bishops' Declaration. Episcopal oversite is undertaken by the Bishop of Beverley.
