If you would like to have your child baptised (also known as Christened), at St John's, please contact Rev Aysha, who will need to establish if you live in this parish.  We cannot baptise children from other parishes unless you regularly attend church here.  

While we do our very best to accommodate families with their chosen dates,  this will not always possible. This is an active, worshipping church with lots going on, special festivals, seasons and holy days that are in the diary, and various other events and happenings.  Please do not book your venue for the celebration and then shout at us because we cannot offer you the day to suit your prior arrangements.

We only baptise on Sundays, almost always at midday, and Rev Aysha will come and visit you before the service to get to know you, and note your details for the registers, baptism certificate and godparent cards.  Godparents need to have been baptised themselves.
