Child Baptisms (Christenings) at St John the Evangelist, Old Trafford

It is great that you are looking to get your child baptised with us at St John’s and below you'll find out how we organise this:

- We invite parents to come with their child, or children, to services at 10.00am so we can get to know them and them us.

- At one of these services an appointment is made for the family, with one of the ministers, to look together at the Application for Baptism Form. After this meeting they may take the form away to complete and return on a following Sunday.

- From this meeting we decide the best date for the baptism and organise a meeting with one of the ministers, the parents, godparents, and any interested supporters, to explain their roles and what happens in the Baptism Service.

- Baptism Services are normally on the 4th Sunday of the month starting at 12 noon, with family, godparents and supporters arriving at the latest by 11.45am.

- Parents can collect the Baptism Certificates at one of the following Sunday services where we get to pray for them and those baptised.
