I am writing to invite you to our next vision group meeting on Thursday 7th September, 7:30pm, at St Mary's Davyhulme. Refreshments will be available beforehand should you wish to arrive early, and then can be taken into the meeting.

This will be a slightly different meeting of the group, with a single item, namely, focal leadership.

Beverley Angier from the diocese will be coming to talk to us about focal leadership, what it is, what it means for us, and how to proceed. This is the perfect opportunity to bring any questions you may have.

This is also an open meeting, and I strongly encourage you to invite your congregations, especially PCC members, since this will affect us all.

I have also attached the latest diocesan briefing document for you to read in preparation if you would like to.

A message from Revd Matthew Carlisle following his Licensing and induction on Sunday April 21st.

First of all, a huge thank you for your warm welcome and the kindness you have shown since we arrived. At the time of writing, the two services at St. Clement’s and St. Mary’s are still fresh in my mind. I couldn't have hoped for a better way to start our shared life together as Christ’s Church in Davyhulme and Urmston.

We are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
