This year we are running a four-week Advent Course at St. Mary's, beginning on Wednesday 20th November at 7.30pm.
The course is called: Waiting in Hope...Amazed by Joy

Waiting in Hope...Amazed by Joy will be based on the gospel of Luke and his account of the birth of Jesus. Luke gives us a detailed picture of the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. He helps us to see how Jesus's birth touched the lives of a number of ordinary people, from Zechariah and Elizabeth, to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds. We also see Jesus's birth is good news for all people. The course will give us an opportunity to ponder, pray and prepare our hearts to celebrate with joy the birth of Jesus this Christmas.

The sessions will run as follows:
Week 1 - 20th November - Zechariah in the Temple - Luke 1.5-24
Week 2 - 27th November - Mary & Elizabeth - Luke 1.25-56
Week 3 - 4th December - The Birth of John the Baptist - Luke 1.57-80
Week 4 - 11th December - The Birth of Jesus - Luke 2.1.20
