Since starting in 2007, Earth Hour, which takes place on 22 March has been known for the “lights off” moment, with individuals around the world switching off their lights to show support for the planet and raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.The theme for Earth Hour 2025 is “Our Power, Our Planet”.A prayer for Earth Hour:We thank you God for the gift of creation, for the earth, air, water and all living things. Give us grace to use the earth's resources wisely and well. May our world, national and local leaders have the vision and co-operation to develop strategies to help nature recover. We pray that we can work together to help your creation flourish in all parts of the world. May we work together to simplify the way we live, reduce the non-renewable energy we use, and share the resources we enjoy, all for your love's sake.Amen#EarthHour #EcochurchECO FRIENDLY HOLIDAY TIMETo support our Eco church activities, we use the resources from A Roche. This is a recent example:” At this time of year, our thoughts can often turn to the hope of warmer weather and planning a summer holiday. Visiting new places and seeing God’s creation is a great way to be refreshed and rested. Yet how we travel and where we stay, can either be positive or negative for the very environment we care about.
