Sept 12th and 13th Heritage Open Days 2026 at St Paul’s Church, Moor Lane, Salford M7 3WX. St Paul’s churchyard contains over 5,000 graves with 11,000 burials, many dating from the heyday of Victorian Manchester. Many of Manchester’s great and good, including cotton entrepreneurs (particularly calico manufacturing and printing), merchants, politicians, builders, lawyers and scientists, are buried here, including Holts the brewers, the Lees of Tootal Broadhurst Lee, the builders of Manchester Town Hall and Assize Courts, Walks last around 45 minutes.
Both days: exhibition of church and local history and refreshments in the Social Area
