This is an additional service for those who may be unable to attend the parish service at 11.00 that day - or may need a shorter service.

Approximately 60 minutes including sermon
There will be organ/prerecorded music.
Holy Communion is available in two kinds. The host is administered by the celebrant, or other authorised distributant
The chalice is self-administered and wiped clean.
Intinction (the dipping of the host into the chalice) is very stronly discouraged

This is the main parish Sunday service, but an hour later than usual with hymns and music

We support the work of the Manchester Mission who provide Christmas presents to those, especially children, where otherwise there might be none.
Please bring along an unused (and preferably new) item which would be a suitable Christmas present for a child.
These will be dedicated, and the following day will be dropped off at the Manchester Mission.

A service for everyone, very informal, to include some of the best-known carols and songs, nativity readings, and poems.
Lots of different voices.

Traditional Readings and Carols, and the setting up of the nativity scene ready for the Holy Family.
During the prayers, there will be an opportunity to light a candle and place it on the altar as a visual prayer - especially if there is something troubling us.
During 'Silent Night' we make a circle of light with our candles (with wax-drip collars) and listen to St John 1.1-14, and hold some silence.
Keep the candle as it goes with your Christingle kit to take home.

Come and assemble the Nativity Scene in knitted figures. One by one we will hear about the part each figure has to play in that very special day. Some simple songs too, with some sweet treats.

We've not had a 'Midnight Mass' for some years now - partly numbers, partly safety.
This marks the beginning of the Christmas Season proper.
There will be mulled wine (zero alcohol option too) and mince pies served after the service, and you could still be home for 10.00 pm ish- depending on how long you want to stay afterwards.
