Here are the Kimbilio prayer requests:
1. Pray for the reintegration programme. The aim of the transit homes is to prepare children to
return to their families. Pray that God will help parents to love and accept their children.
2. Pray that God will touch the hearts of donors so the Young Mum’s training can happen again
this year.
3. Pray for 15 year old Jemima at present staying in the girls’ transit home. She is one of five
children whose mother and father have died. One woman has taken in the other four but
Jemima has epilepsy. She came to the Kimbilio day centre so we took her to the girls’ transit
house, accepting her illness. After a few days we went to see the woman who had taken the
family in. The woman is subject to stress and couldn’t cope when Jemima cries out as she has a
fit. That’s why Jemima had to sleep outdoors at the mercy of boys. The rest of the family are
safe and the oldest is doing well at secondary school. There are traditional doctors who say they
can treat her. Meanwhile, we are looking for other family members as we have been told
Jemima has an aunt. Pray that God will help us find family members to discuss the question of
her treatment.
4. Pray for 16 year old Naomi Georgette Azama. When she was 14, Kimbilio took her back to her
family. She was her father’s oldest child but he died. Her mother then married a soldier who
also died. Naomi didn’t want to live with this family but she also didn’t like living in the transit
home. She didn’t want to sleep without men so she left and preferred life in the market. After a
while we found her pregnant and sick. We took her to hospital where they confirmed that she
was five months pregnant. We took her in at the transit house. Next month we will go to look
for her family. Please pray that Naomi will listen to advice and stay safely in one place. May God
help her to get safely to the day of giving birth and give birth safely.
5. Pray for the project of building the multi purpose day centre and technical school.
6. Pray for peace throughout Congo.
