About Us
Welcome to our web pages; we hope you will find what you are looking for here, and that you will come and join us in worship. Please contact us if you need any further information.
Christ Church, Moss Side is a beautiful and inspiring building with a warm and prayerful congregation from all over the Anglican Communion.
Our Church life is centred on the Eucharist or Holy Communion, following the Lord's instruction at the Last Supper 'Do this in remembrance of me.' Sunday School takes place fortnightly on a Sunday at 11 a.m. (1st and 3rd Sundays of each month), during the first part of the Eucharist; children are welcome to come into Sunday School, or to stay in Church. Babies are very welcome in Church.
We welcome and encourage enquiries about Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals from anyone in the local area, or who has a previous connection with Christ Church.
We 'worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness', with traditional music and ceremonial. We pray for the reunion of Christians in 'one holy, catholic and apostolic Church.' We stand in the Catholic tradition in the Church of England.
Christ Church looks to the Bishop of Beverley for episcopal ministry, and is affiliated to Forward in Faith and the Society, under the patronage of St. Wilfred and St. Hilda.
