At 10:30am this Sunday 2 April, there is a Palm Sunday service with readings and hymns, to remember the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem. Arriving on a humble donkey, Jesus challenged all notions of power and authority, as He still does today. The children from St Mary's school came to church last week to create scenes of the events of Holy Week, including the washing of feet on Maundy Thursday (using a doll), the crucifixion (making a crown of thorns) and the empty tomb of Easter Sunday. Come and share what the children saw and see what they made, like the little flowers to bring life to that dark Garden of Gethsemane. Everyone is very welcome, with refreshments served afterwards.
