The Heatons Church Partnership will walk together in a walk of witness carrying a wooden cross. Starting at St. Johns Heaton Mersey at 10:00 we will walk past a number of places of worship, where we will stop and pray and end at Heaton Moor United Church for refreshments and a service at 11:00.

St John's

St John’s is a Church of England church offering a warm and friendly welcome, taking to heart these words from Matthew’s gospel:

‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me.’ (Matthew 25)

We aim to offer God worthy worship, to grow in discipleship, to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to serve him in the community and the world in a spirit of inclusivity.

The church is entirely surrounded by a beautiful circular churchyard, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the parish of Heaton Mersey.
